We visited the White Lion in Tenderton on Friday 21st August, while we were on a weeks coach visit to Eastbourne, and were extremely pleased with what we experienced. We decided to have a pub lunch, and were thrilled with the ambiance, service and friendliness of all the staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome.... more

Very disappointing breakfast (apples, oranges, pears only fruit on offer), cheapest yogurts, unappetising cooked English for the very high price we paid - £115.00 for the night. Presumably this was to reflect the 4-poster bed but in view of other smaller niggles we left feeling short-changed. We won't be back. more

Warm welcome and efficient check-in. Good breakfast. Nice room with quite small but adequate bathroom. Rather weak shower. Very clean and well looked after room and pub. Would visit again but always book through something like 'Booking.com' for deal much better than direct with hotel. more

We stayed two nights at this newly refurbished inn which is part of the Marston Inns Group. We had a four poster bed in a lovely big and well appointed room with ensuite facilities.
