This hotel offers excellent facilities at a reasonable cost coupled with great food. Breakfast is cooked to order with a good range of options, even the bread is traditional. Well worth seeking out and visiting.

Whenever i am working in Sevenoaks i always stay at the Carpenters Arms, not only is the hotel out of this world with amazing beautiful rooms but the food is to die for, wow. I came with a colleague this time and had raved about a Steak & Suet Pudding and couldn't wait to have it for my dinner that... More

This is a lovely place in a great location, out in the Country but close to Tonbridge. The rooms are very modern, spotlessly clean, bright and airy. The bathroom was fantastic and cleaned daily with toiletries replenished. The staff were first rate and attentive from the moment we arrived. The restaurant is very popular and was busy each night. We... More

Despite being assured on checking in that we would not suffer road noise in our allocated room at the front of the hotel, we were - and a short night’s sleep ensued despite the comfortable bed. The room was well appointed and comfortably furnished but the road noise and the draught from the ill-fitting single glazed windows rather conspired to... More

I'm sitting in the undouble glazed room with loud traffic going by only 5m from my window, which is covered by a torn curtain. There is a constant mechanical hum in the background (kitchen machinery??) The room is spacious, modern and large (paid £10 for upgrade) Staff in the restaurant were helpful and the service good, they describe themselves as... More

Four of us spent about £35 a head here, lovely, friendly waiting staff- a credit to the the pub. One of the main meal portions was incredibly small, the other portions were only just the right side of being mean. One of our table asked for some ice cream with the pudding- when we got the bill, we noticed that... More

I was on business in Tonbridge and find the Premier Inn a bit soulless. Worth being a couple of miles out of town for a very comfortable room and decent food and good beer. Staff were attentive without being in your face. Only moan is why the hell do you have to serve food on a grubby wooden plank? Plates... More

Being a former two micheline star trained chef, its very easy for me to see how the food could have been better. The menu has too many items on it. There is no need to try and have such a variety of choice. Slim the menu right down and concentrate on a few items that are totally fresh and locally... More

Stayed to visit relatives in the area. Clean, comfortable and very friendly but the single beds are very single! Can't work out how they did it, but room temprature perfect without heating being on. Breakfast was absolutely spot on- poached eggs lovely and soft, bread very crisp. Bit wierd- 2 lots of body lotion and bath gel, no shampoo- towels... More
