This is a very strange guest house, Although fairly well presented inside and out, it is run by two slightly offbeat old gentlemen who seem to share the running of the establishment but do not communicate with one another.
We had a reasonable room but which was extremely dusty. (to be fair i think the room had been cleaned at some stage and then been unoccupied for a few weeks).
We asked for an 0830 breakfast but and we were informed that the other person would be preparing that. However, by 0845 that next morning ther was no sign of anyone around and so we had to leave without breakfast on that day, as we had an appointment. These thing happen sometimes I am sure but there was no appology the next day and the breakfast was served in silence. Considering this place has achieved 4 stars, we were very surprised and dissappointed. this is not cheap accommodation, and at £75 per double room in mid winter, we would advise trying the many other guest houses in the area. more
