The Calfs Head has always been a favorite of ours for the past 15 years, and they have everything so right, service, food and accomadition. Traditional ales, and home cooked food with a twist, great out door space for the kids. If you are staying, ask to see the room and you choose. Lee Wood at Pendle Pictures

Very poor slow service and food just ok. Basic food that is greatly overpriced. Location is a great picturesque village. Interior is like a 1970s living room. Male waiter was an absolute shambles with no customer skills whatsoever.

Just another evening meal, prompt service, great food. Friendly staff. Always made welcome. Just off the A59 Clitheroe by pass. Normally you do not need to phone for a booking, it may be an advantage on bank holidays. I have visited the hotel over many years and found it an great place for a meal. David Whiteside

Most food is good and value for money, but I had the chilli and it was awfull lots of strange herbs that is not needed.i would prefer real home cooked chips as the frozen they give you are dry.but every thing else is great.

This is a good pub/hotel in a lovely village. Loads of parking and very big restaurants - consevatory and main room. Food is plentiful, quick and reasonably priced. Its basic pub grub, burgers scampi etc so dont expect too much. Desserts are huge too! I have seen the comments regarding the staff - I promise you they are all very... More

The location was very picturesque and the village lovely yet only 400metres from a59 which was ideal. The rooms were above the pub and restaurant but ours was quiet. The room was clean if a little small but the bathroom was a good size. My main and only gripe was the decor. Looked like room and en suite untouched since... More

Good location and great food. Fantastic for big parties with loads of space and big car park. Unfortunately the managers were not pleasant, the table staff were fine but not very friendly a tone that seemed set by the female managers. They were frosty at best and not very helpful. Would think twice about going back because of this as... More
