First and foremost this is a conference venue, owned and operated by the Blackburn Diocese of the Church of England. Like other venues it seems that they have looked at other avenues of revenue and now offer bed and breakfast to all. Whalley (Abbey) Hotel is a delightful hotel set in the grounds and ruins of Whalley Abbey..built in the 15th Century. We only stayed for one night, but wanted to stay longer.
