I only stayed at the old post house for one night but I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The little extras such as the lovely shampoo, the range of teas, coffees and hot chocolate, hair dryer, shoe polisher, free wi-fi etc made all the difference. The owners were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend the old post house... More

I hope the owners wouldnt be insulted by my description of it being 'modest'! They are not aiming at the top end but this is comfortable. It is a small hotel in a small town, my room was comfortable and well furnished and the bathroom better equipped than my home one. Food was fine too, breakfast was well cookeed, poached... More

We have stayed here twice, once for a wedding at Mitton and once to eat at the Freemasons, Wiswell. Roger is an excellent host.....highly experienced and has got everything right. A warm welcome, spotless comfortable rooms, car park, and the most wonderful breakfast, freshly cooked for each individual. You will not be disappointed here.

Two couples stayed on a Saturday night in this private hotel that is well located in this market town which gives good access to East Lancashire and the Ribble Valley. The rooms are clean and comfortable and alongside a very good breakfast offered very good value for money. The owner was welcoming and provided good service ( does he get... More

Lovely hotel, ideal base for visiting the Ribble Valley. Lovely rooms, very spacious. Lovely welcome from the staff and nothing too much trouble. Delicious breakfast. And even though full, felt like you were looked after individually. Would definitely recommend, and will stay again.

Stayed for one night whilst working locally. Service and welcome was excellent. Room was good, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, great choice of fruits, yogurts, nuts, cereals, full English (if you want)...what more could you ask for? Great choice for everyone. Staff were really helpful and friendly too. Will definitely stay here again.

We stayed just one night but felt so welcome. Lovely room, well decorated and furnished. The bed and bedding were so inviting! Great ensuite facilities with lovely touches with the toiletries. Staff are friendly & helpful. The hotel was peaceful despite how many people were staying. The breakfast was wonderful, amazing local sausages & bacon! The Post House came recommended... More

We stayed on a Friday night. The owner was very friendly and helpful, advising on where best to eat and drink locally. (Double Trees curry house and The New Inn - both excellent). The room was clean and well furnished. Best of all was the breakfast - quality bacon and sausages. Would stay again if visiting the Clitheroe area.

Our stay was brief but enjoyable and the staff very welcoming. Our room was a decent size, cosy and warm with plenty of toiletries. The following morning we enjoyed a lovely breakfast. Next time we stay in Clitheroe it'll be here!
