I've eaten in Mr Freds on many occasions. I love Stanley House, everything from the decor to food to staff. Just great! I do not understand the comment saying its for the over 60's club? I am in my 20's and will be going back there for many years to come! Especially when the spa is done!

I've only used the Stanley House Hotel for it's restaurant. It is the ONLY place around Blackburn that has a bit of class, style, great food and great service. I now regularly use the Stanley House as the place to take my clients to lunch. I would highly recommend it and will write a further review when my next client...

we arrived at 2. 30 pm...we ordered afternoon tea for two...we were told we had to choose one sandwich each...the hotel could not offer a selection as is usually the case with afternoon tea...when the food arrived we thought they had made a mistake and served afternoon tea for one....the portions were very small and the bread was stale...the service...
