Don't expect anything upmarket here. For £55 a night it is VERY basic to say the least, a half decent bed in a small room and a tiny tv in the far corner, (which only had 4 channels), a tap on the bath did not stop dripping the whole time I was there. luckily I only used the room to... more

I can now understand why you request payment in full when you check in; otherwise I for one would have refused to pay! Our door entry card failed within an hour of checking in, there wasn’t enough towels in the room and generally the rooms are very dated, clean but in need of a re-style and a coat of paint... more

A very old run down hotel on a noisy dual carraigeway. Yes you get what you pay for, but the car park full of workman’s vans and looks like a few thousand builders have slept in your room before you and a few hundred years since the place was last decorated! Old, shabby, feels dirty, hair in the bath when... more

We booked a double room for one night including an extra £7 each for breakfast. We weren't expecting the Hilton or anything like that but for £63 our room was quite basic. You do get a hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities and a very small T.V. The room itself was quite dated with peeling paint, shabby carpets and a bed that... more

The hotel was welcolming and a real change from the norm. On arrival the receptionist was exceptionally helpful and friendly and managed to arrange for me to dine even though the restaurant had officially closed(the food was exemplary!!). The room itself was very comfortable and clean and considering the location very quiet and peaceful. The checking in and out process... more

It was a cold and dark night when I went to check in. The lack of cars in the spacious car park should have been the sign of things to come. Once checked in, the room was small, dirty, cold, and smelt of cigarette some, even though the hotel is supposable none smoking. On attempting to have a shower the... more
