We had a lovely stay in what was once a cottage. Friendly staff and beautiful breakfast. I loved the prune and apricot compote. Yum! We ate out with friends that night but if you want to eat there booking is essential as they were fully booked all weekend

Organised a small family reunion at The Lake Isle Hotel and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Stayed one night midweek and have to say we were slightly disappointed. We had a deluxe cottage room in the courtyard, which was nice and quiet, comfortable and warm. However, the whirlpool bath didn't work (and once you're in, it's a bit late to call the manager to fix it) and there were some big cobwebs in the ceiling corners.... More
