We went to Cleethorpes on impulse, just for a night out. The first hotel we stopped at was full, but we found the Safari as we passed a parking area, and saw a space appear!. The reception was very friendly. The owners are of circus stock, and have been with Chipperfields, as well as with Revue shows. The hotel is between a British Legion club, and a Bistro type of restaurent. The room we had was en-suite, not overly large, but adequate for our needs. The bed was small compared to home, but the only beds I know that match our own are in Premier Lodges. The traffic wardens come by at 10.00 a.m., meaning that we missed them, and we were parked on the street outside, which is a bit of a drawback, but all in all I would be happy to recommend the hotel. It would have been nice to chat to the Goncalves about their Circus activities, but we did not get an opportunity.
