my uncle died in one of the rooms here from natural causes. the staff arranged everything from undertaker to rearranging seating plans, hearses etc, and didnt charge a penny for anything they did. reception was well arranged and even when somebody over filled the bath as a joke and flooded the room ,they couldnt have been nicer. a great hotel,... more

Nice room, helpful staff. Good bar snacks and a nice pint of Caffreys. Breakfast was above average Good value for a 3 star hotel and preferable to a Travel Lodge more

Wortley House Hotel provides a welcome sight for the business traveller (like myself) who had to trudge the 250 metres from the railway station in a headlong wind and full of cold!
