Nice room, helpful staff. Good bar snacks and a nice pint of Caffreys. Breakfast was above average Good value for a 3 star hotel and preferable to a Travel Lodge more

Wortley House Hotel provides a welcome sight for the business traveller (like myself) who had to trudge the 250 metres from the railway station in a headlong wind and full of cold! Check-in was simple and efficient. Room was clean, spacious and recently refurbished as were the en-suite facilities. Restaurant was quiet but offered wholesome home cooking. The wortley is an OK hotel in Scunthorpe. Rooms are comfy and usually quite clean. Restaurant is rubbish (get a taxi to town) and the bar overpriced. Not the best location in Scunthorpe and not a walk to town either. A better bet is to stay in the Travel lodge just on the outskirts of the town centre. more
