As many other reviews have noted the hotel itself looks reasonably grand from the outside as it is set in some quite nice grounds. The interior really does let it down however as it really is very outdated. I stayed in a single room which was clean enough, and on the plus side had a new-ish JVC flatscreen TV. Ridiculously... more

My wife and i stayed in Sept 08. We were at a wedding there and thought it was excellent. Sure its not the ritz but had wonderful time none the less, everything went to plan, the food was excellent and all of the other guests commented on how good it was and that they had a good time. Ther garden... more

Arrived at 9pm, given a standard double room despite paying for an upgrade. Embarrassing for me and unhelpful staff wouldn't offer me any other room. The room was so far away from reception it took ten minutes to get the luggage in and no help offered (my wife is disabled but even the disabled parking spaces are further from the... more

I stayed here 2 nights. My room was nicely decorated and clean, if a little small. The restaurant service and food were very good. Only disappointment was that the wireless network was not functioning. Good value for money. more

I have probably stayed in this hotel more than any other – at least 100 nights over a 15-year period and can tell you categorically that it hasn’t been decorated once in that entire time. The building and grounds are fabulous, but the owners obviously don’t really care about it, which is sad. The “luxury” rooms are quite nice and... more

I wont go on as most of the other reviews cover my sentiments about this hotel. I stayed there for a wedding so just a place to crash basically but it was not nice... Very cheap though.. If you have an option stay in Lincoln and drive the 20 minutes to get to Sleaford, many more options in Lincoln more

We stayed at this hotel for one night in January for a wedding, we checked in late afternoon and my first impression was that the decor was very dated our room was a double, the room itself was tatty and dirty, the curtains were hanging off the rail, there was dirty marks on the wall, the bath had alot of... more

This wasnt as bad as I expected it to be. It's true that its somewhat shabby. I didnt see all the rooms just the two that my daughter and I were staying in but it was very clean and there was nothing that horrified me. I had very very noisy plumbing, the fan in the bathroom sounded like Concorde taking... more

When I was told I was going to do some worked in Sleaford I looked blankley and said where? Well I searched for hotels and found a website advertising the Licolnshire Oak. It looked wonderful like an old country hotel. Very luxurious or so I thought. Upon arrival at about 9.30 pm I checked in, my first notice was the... more
