Just spent a night in the best guesthouse I have experienced. Unfortunate it was for a funeral of our friend who moved to the village. We were made welcome from the start putting us at ease in this sad time. Lovely couple run it and pays attention to detail. Breakfast was a treat with choice of fresh locally produced food.... More

My girlfriend & I stayed here over the new year weekend and had a fabulous time! David & Sue were really welcoming and by the time we left it felt like we had known them for years. Our room was a good size with a couple of chairs to relax in after a day in the hills, and a nice... More

Sue and David made us feel very welcome, They recommended walks and were interested to hear about what we were doing and where we were walking. David was able to provide us with routes which fitted the time we had available and gave us tips to get the most from our day. The room was spacious and cosy and the... More

We stayed at Woodview for four nights in the week that our daughter was married in Austwick Church. All the other rooms were occupied by other members of the family. Not only was the accommodation and the breakfasts as good as any we have had anywhere, but the welcome and hospitality of our hosts was superb. At the end of... More

From the moment we arrived Sue & David could not have made us any more welcome. I had taken my elderly mother on a weekend break so, when we arrived David came out to help my mother out of the car and carry our bags to the room. And what a lovely room it was. They have achieved spacious and... More

We stayed at Wood View B&B for one night, and wished we stayed for longer! We were greeted with tea and cake and things only got better when we were shown to our gorgeous (huge) bedroom. Lovely touches included supersoft bathrobes and home made shortbread biscuits in the room. David and Sue couldn't have been more accommodating and it was... More

Great people, house and village and 10% off your dinner at the Gamecock pub! A good place to be. The breakfast room is compact but who cares , and breakfast is selected the night before and cooked with care. £42 per person in superior double with bath. More

Stayed here a few times over the last 5 years, and have enjoyed our stay every time we have visited Woodview. Excellent hosts. Homemade biscuits and scones are just what you need on arrival and after a long walk in the dales. Rooms warm and comfortable. David is an excellent source of information on Mountain biking, cycling, and walking around... More

Excellent stay in most comfortable and hospitable guest house just a couple of doors away from good pub with french cooking. Hosts at the B&B were most welcoming, rooms were spacious and comfortable and breakfast was great. A good place to stay and walk in the Dales More

Can't rate Wood View highly enough. The service was outstanding. We stayed in one of the superior rooms. It was well worth paying the little bit extra, because it was a large spacious lovely room, with exposed beams. The breakfast was very good indeed with plenty of choice. The Owners are very friendly, and helpful, and go out of there to make your stay a... More
