We stayed at Fair View Country Guest House in Hawes in April 2008. The town of Hawes has always been a favourite place to visit but we had only ever camped there.
We visited with another couple and were greeted by the very friendly owners. The guest house was full, with the other clients being a group of ramblers.
The guest house is in an ideal location, just a few minutes walk into Hawes, which has an array of shops, a few restaurants and bars. It has a stunning 'beck' which flows through the town and is very picturesque.
The guest house was very comfortable and clean and both our rooms were spotless and very nicely furnished. The only negative point I could think of would be that the shower was not as powerful as I like!
The breakfast room was lovely and bright and we were served a fantastic breakfast from a good choice of menu, whether it was the full Yorkshire breakfast or boiled eggs.
