After a visit to Mother Shipton's Cave and a walk up a steep hill, we had a very welcoming and lovely meal here. Great value as well. Please note that the chips are amazing and a must try! Would happily visit again next time in the area.

Good beer, rooms and food. Breakfast was especially. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Read some silly nit picking comments about parking but the close proximity of the station and the narrow road adds to the character of the Mitre.

We just came back from a short visit to the Mitre. It's a great spot. It is very close to the train line but it is not a problem. The breakfast is fabulous. The bar has a great selection of beers and spirits. We will definitely go back.

Spent 3 nights in the Mitre Inn while down in Knaresborough for a wedding. First thing to note (and this applies to Knaresborough in general) there is no parking anywhere near the hotel and the closest parking is pay and display for no more than 2 hours. Great pub and superb beer. Sat outside on Sunday afternoon with 3 friends and saw a sign saying Sunday Lunch served till 4.00 PM.
