The rooms were comfortable and well equipped with a variety of coffee & teas and the homemade biscuits were a nice and very welcome touch, although some of our party didn't get their biscuits & water replenished each day like we did! Selected this hotel for dog friendliness and DBB deal. £30.00 deposit asked for, for dog acceptance, refunded only after room inspection. Could not check in till 3.30pm. Having enjoyed excellent food at the GT on previous occassions but having to get in the car and drive after, we decided to stay for the night. Rooms OK if a little dark, but of a good standard. The rooms are only average, but the food at the GT was excellent. Wonderful seafood and guite hearty Anglo-French meals. Good wine list too. Breakfast in the courtyard the next morning was the best thing though - fresh mixed juices, smoked haddock with spinach, toast with the best unsalted butter. Very, very nice.
