The website for this hotel should not be believed. The room we were given was not clean, dust and dirt everywhere. The bathroom was one of the worst I have ever seen. Stains and hair, mouldy shower curtain to mention a few. One hotel we will never return too. more

The Golden Lion is the only decent sized hotel within the town, the Allerton Court is rather out of the centre and a bit "Travel Lodge". Our room smelt bad. I assume that this was because it used to be a smoking room. But it smelt horrible really musty.
