From arriving to leaving everything was 1st class. We were greeted with warmth from Joanne and Glyn and were kept that way by their hospitality, extremely comfortable accommodation, roaring fires and superb breakfast. It is so obvious the whole renovations have been carried out with love. Nothing has been spared. It is more than evident everything has been done to... More

The shower and bathroom fittings were first-class and quite high enough for my 6-foot tall husband (one room in the very oldest part of the... More

Warm welcome, lovely couple, immaculately clean throughout! Amazing decor and very comfortable bed. Breakfast by the open fire cooked on the Aga consisted of a very scrumptious bacon, sausage, egg, field mushroom, beans and tomatoes, fresh orange, choice of teas, cereals, fresh fruits, even smoked salmon and scrambled egg. Best B & B we have ever stayed at, and have... More

I stayed at the Proch House for two reasons. Firstly it was the nearest place to where I was having a series of interviews and secondly because it looked like the best place around. I certainly wasn't disappointed! I received a very warm welcome from Joanna and Glyn and retired to my stunning room to relax before the big day.... More

I haved lived away from England for some 40 years but return every few years and travel in North Yorkshire and the Boarders of Scotland. Up scale B&Bs in the USA and Cnada have also been our forte. We found everything perfect here. Great hosts, informative, friendly, willing to share. The accomodation was excellent, preserving the true heritage of its... More
