We have just returned from spending three nights at Rowleth End and can honestly say we have never received a more hospitable welcome. Ever attentive to the needs of his guests, Roger is the perfect host. The rooms are stylish and very comfortable. We felt we could curl up with a book, at any time, and in any room we... more

We have just returned from a night at Rowleth End and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were greeted by Roger on arrival and shown to our room. Roger and his staff are very welcoming and can't do enough to please guests, (most refreshing these days). The rooms are fitted to an excellent standard far surpassing some large chain hotels, a... more

It's all been said, this is a treasure of a place in a wonderful location with a charming host. We ate in one night and the food was excellent home cooking. The second and third nights we ate out at an inn down the road and another night in Leyburn and both were really good too. Nothing is to much... more

Lovely house and super bedrooms. They've spent money on quality fittings especially the beds. Had a great evening meal shared with other guests around a single table. We weren't sure about this but actually had an excellent evening. We will be staying there again. There's even a trampoline in the garden if you've any energy left after a day walking... more

We were looking for a "quick getaway" for a couple of nights. Although not too far from us, the drive was well worth it. We were greeted by Roger as if we were long-lost friends and treated like this at all times. The room we stayed in (room 5) has a spa bath and amazing shower...well worth the extra! Lots... more

A beautiful house and gardens which included the sheep who played 'truant' whilst we were staying there. Hopefully they have returned. The food was freshly prepared and cooked by our host and was delicious with plenty of it. We cannot recommend this B&B highly enough. We shall return and spend longer in this lovely place. thank you. more

We found Rowleth End to be a great place for a short break in the Yorkshire Dales and would like to have stayed for longer than a couple of nights. Roger is a great host and cooked us lovely meals on both evenings. We shared the dinner table with our fellow guests who proved to be excellent company. Breakfast was... more

Roger is a wonderful host. Very welcoming and helpful. He lit a fire in the living room as it was quite a chilly afternoon and made us a cup of tea on arrival We were meeting up with our two grown up daughters and their boyfriends for the weekend. Our younger daughter and boyfriend stayed in another B&B locally (as... more

Considering that the proprietor has only recently taken over he is succeeding, as far as we were concerned, in running an excellent establishment. Our room and bathroom were superbly equipped and furnished but there were many, many additional unexpected touches - including a selection of essential oils to perfume the bath, complimentary locally produced soft drinks in the room. The... more
