We were not staying at the Hotel, but called onroute from Scotland, returning to Harrogate. Our party of 18 consisted of English, Finish, Belgium, French and American people. It would have been wonderful to say they had a fantastic experience, but sadly, not so. We asked if we could have a table for 18 people. Fortunately, we had to wait... more

We had a family room, large as it was ,every single floorboard creaked, dead flies in the bathroom along with a dirty towel amongst the clean ones. The older waitress in the dining room was the rudest I have ever met, flies everywhere. The hotel bar was filthy, its a case of cleaning only where the eye can see, underneath... more

This was booked for us and I couldn't wait to leave! We thought that we had ajoining rooms bearing in mind we had our 2 children with us. Unfortunately we had seperate rooms and when I went into the boys room there was someone asleep in there! We went to the reception and then entered the room again but it... more

We booked this hotel to attend a party in scorton near richmond, everywhere else was full. From the outside it looks impressive and states that it's been fully refurbished. checked in with no issues, but realised early on refurbished meant cheap look with no substance or real finishing touches. Little things like the staircase, the paint work, the skirting board... more

I stayed here probably 5/6 years ago and whilst the bar and restaurant had some charm they were clearly well past their best. However the rooms were terrible – old wardrobes, dated décor, drab bedding and linoleum on the bathroom floors. Without a major refurbishment I would not have volunteered to go back. Several years later and looking for a... more

I booked this hotel through late rooms i started having concerns about the hotel when i had to ring 4 times for confirmation of my booking until the day before i went and even then it wasn't sent. On arrival at the hotel i must say i was quite impressed. The hotel itself is very clean and tidy and the... more

Stayed for Easter Weekend 2008. The hotel on arriving looked professional - check in was easy and quick. The room was nice and clean, with a huge bed! Bathroom spotlessly clean and plenty of towels provided. Nice bar area with meals available, bar meals quite pricey but the restaurant looked reasonably priced and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast... more

The hotel didn't look too inviting when I arrived on a cold, wet January night. However, once inside it was very bright and welcoming. The hotel staff at check-in staff were very polite and check-in itself only took a few minutes. The single room looked like it had been recently decorated. Although it was quite small, was very clean, bright... more

I and 34 other linedancers stayed at the Scotch Corner Hotel from November 9th-11th 2008 and had a great weekend. The hotel has recently been refurbished and is excellent. The rooms were airy, bright and modern. The food was above good. It was hot and beautifully prepared. The staff could not have been more helpfull--particularly the restuarant staff who were... more
