Basic room, but clean and tidy - good value for reduced price paid. Only nearby facilities are petrol, newsagent and costa coffee - not restaurant or bar. Was advised that there was a hotel 5 mins walk away - there was and it was nice, but 20 mins walk away and it closed early because there was not enough customers! more

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and the bed was just so uncomfortable. It had serious roll together. Maybe ok for 1 person but awful for two. On the first morning my husbands back ached a bit but on the second morning he was in so much pain in his back and leg he was on the point of... more

Booked room via the £20 sale. Excellent value. Efficient check in. Hotel recently redecorated and new carpet throughout. Breakfast selection, however, is limited to Costa, Burger King or garage shop and Burger King is not open if you have a very early start. more

Not too bad, but a bit tatty around the edges...a lot of the bedroom doors looked as though they've been broken into at some point! We booked 2-3 months in advance and paid £19 per room...which was fine. If we'd booked on the day it would've been around £51...which definitely wasn't worth it. So, good value for the money we... more

This place is awful - very spartan rooms, very much in need of a complete overhaul, worn and torn stair carpets. The room was clean, but others we heard were not. Never again! more

This travelodge is conveniently located just off the A1 at the Scotch Corner junction. Ideal stopping off point for a long journey north, or south. Its' accessable from both directions. It's next door to servives with a costa coffee, and wh smiths, although no real restuarant. Check in was simply, despite hotel being full that evening, and plenty of guests.... more

This is one of the better Travelodges. The staff were really pleasant and helpful and the hotel smelt clean and looked tidy. You never get a 'fantastic' room but for £26 you really can't complain. Would never pay £50 + for a travelodge, especially the ones on the outskirts or main roads. We find them very useful and if you... more
