A fantastic B & B. We stayed in the Green Room which was spacious, clean and had everything you could want. Audrey, the host was brilliant. Very friendly and helpful. Her son Tom cooked a beautiful breakfast every morning and was also friendly and helpful. Sara, who served the breakfasts was jolly and nothing was a problem. It’s in a great location too. Not far from nice restaurants and great real ales pubs in town. Also, great for exploring the surrounding areas. The whole house is very spacious and welcoming. Plenty of parking as well.

Audrey is a fantastic host. She is very knowledgeable about the local area and keen for you to have a great stay in her home. Me and my friend stayed in the twin room. For 2 nights. It is equipt with everything you need. It is very clean and spacious. Her son cooks the breakfast which is fantastic. There is a large choice and pre order is required. The accommodation is a very short walk from Alnwick. Parking is available on the street. We booked through booking.com but next time we will book direct because we will definitely go back.

We spent three nights in this charming Victorian house, owned and run by Audrey, and her son, Tom, who cooks the most delicious breakfasts. The house is spacious and spotlessly clean, with a delightful walled garden which we made full use of! There’s free parking just outside the house and it’s perfectly situated within a five minute stroll to the town centre, with interesting shops, cafes and restaurants as well as the Castle and gardens. Audrey is a wonderful mine host, friendly and welcoming, with a wonderful knowledge of the local area and its attractions. We will be back.

The Greycroft is an excellent bed and breakfast run by the owner Audrey and her son in the kitchen. The rooms are spotless and comfortable with a decent shower in the en suite bathroom. It’s the attention to little things that make it stand out - Audrey’s welcome, a fridge on the landing with extra milk and bottled water for guests to help themselves, the beautiful garden which guests can use and complementary sherry or mead in the guests sitting room. The breakfast menu is excellent and freshly cooked to order. On street parking outside the door is available. It’s just a 2 minute walk to Alnwick high street, 5 minutes to Barter books ( a must for readers) and just 10-15 minutes walk to the castle or gardens.

Audry was a wonderful host with fun conversation and hotspot insights! She is so friendly and helpful and a delight to be around. She had a great balance of being available when you want to chat and also giving you space and privacy. The house is lovely with nice spaces to relax and a beautiful back garden you can sit in. The breakfasts are to die for, Tom is an excellent chef and their menu has lots of options. I especially loved their vegetarian breakfast with the homemade glamgarian sausage! The location is also great with just a short walk into town with excellent restaurants and fun places to shop. Also walkable is Alnwick Castle and Gardens which was a fun day adventure. We love Greycroft and would come back year after year if we weren't from overseas. Thank you Audry for a wonderful vacation!…

Lovely B&B in a beautiful Victoria house close to town. Very comfortable, clean and stylish rooms. Audrey and Tom are so friendly and there is no surprise that their breakfasts are award winning. Great location for all the sites too. I highly recommend staying here.

We had a great 4 night stay at the beginning of May and Audrey and her son Tom made us very comfortable and can advise on the local attractions. Greycroft is a short walk into Alnwick where there is plenty to see and do. Our room was spacious, immaculate and had a view over the garden and there is adequate parking. The breakfast is generous and delicious and will set you up for the day. Highly recommended and we would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

Our second visit to Greycroft - it never disappoints. Audrey and Tom are lovely hosts, working hard to make sure everyone feels comfortable and cared for. You won't find better accommodation in Alnwick.

Audrey is the most accommodating and caring of hosts. A warm welcome, great rooms, spotless facilities and fabulous breakfasts, all combine to make for a memorable stay. Greycroft is right in the centre of Alnwick, two minutes from the main street and Alnwick Gardens. You have the proximity of all the pubs and restaurants Alnwick has to offer, with the lovely feeling of home-from-home when you get back to Greycroft.
