We stayed for 3 nights at the Hall. It is an old place which may need a bit of a touch up, but Charles and Barbara are so welcoming, so who cares. We did not go there to nitpick about the little things. We thoughlly enjoyed our stay here and would happily return. Barbara even went out of her way... more

As soon as my sister-in-law and I stepped inside the front door and were welcomed by Barbara, Charles and Donovan (their splendid and venerable dog) we knew we were going to be made to feel at home in this wonderful historic house. After installing ourselves in our friendly twin-bedded room (overlooking the hens in the walled garden and the view... more

We recently stayed at Bamburgh Hall for a couple of days and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The Hall is unique. Yes, there is a bit of dust amongst the clutter but there is real interest and life too. Barbara and Charles are immensely courteous and helpful. We were offered drinks upon arrival but happily accepted instead a huge pot of tea... more

Charming, hospitable hosts. Comfortable accommodation with excellent en suite. Fantastic communal breakfasts with other guests that lead to interesting conversation. Residents lounge with complimentary drinks that lead to stimulating late night conversation with other guests. Wonderful St. Aidan's church next door. Close to Bamburgh Castle and marvellous beach walks. Brilliant value for money but the genuine hospitality was something money... more

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Barbara and Charles. People with an interest in history and culture and looking for a totally relaxed stay with delightful hosts should look no further. The location is easily the best in Bamburgh with local restaurants, castle and beach just a few minutes walk away. We regularly use B&B accommodation throughout... more

The garden is totally overgown making access awkward especially in wet weather. On arrival, we noticed the porch was dirty, unkept and on entry found, a dusty awful smell hit the nose. Being shown around dowstairs by the owner, we both looked at each other and couldn't believe that this place is open to the public. It was untidy to... more

The dream of most travellers is to have the chance to stay somewhere that gives them a genuine idea of what it is like to live in the country they are visiting. Bamburgh Hall Farm exactly fits this bill. It is comfortable and beautifully furnished, but there is nothing self-conscious or designed about any of it; it is simply a... more

We entirely endorse the previous rave review of Bamburgh Hall Farm and find bewildering the few reviewers who have found fault with such a treasure. The house is charming, quiet and comfortable and in a terrific position to tour the stunning Northumberland coast and interior, especially amazing Bamburgh castle a few minutes walk away. Our room was spacious with a... more

I was astonished to read the last review of this charming house and feel I must enter the lists of tripadvisor (for the first time) to refute it. The reviewer’s disappointment is clearly down to their not having looked at the Hall’s website (--) which makes it perfectly clear that this is an historic house, a family home and a... more
