Our first visit to this part of England, and I don't think we could have made a better decision about where to stay. Anne and John are the friendliest, kindest, most knowledable hosts you could ever wish to meet. Fantastically comfortable beds, wonderfully spacious and light rooms. Breakfast choices are superb, great use of local produce. It will definitely set... more

We stayed at this great B & B while on holiday last year. As others have written Anne & John have thought of everything (and more) that a visitor might need during their stay. The room was spacious with a huge comfortable bed and breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Lindisfarne Mead available in the lounge for a nightcap... more

We wanted a taster of Northumberland and stayed at the Farmhouse Guesthouse for two nights. Location is great for touring the area. Very close to Lindisfarne, Bamburgh Castle, etc. The village is lovely, and the locals very friendly. The Guest house is fantastic. It is spotlessly clean. The food is amazing, and you are made to feel really at home.... more

Have just stayed for 4 nights at this wonderful B & B - we totally agree with all the other reviews - simply one of the best B & B's we have ever stayed in. Highly recommended. Ideally situated for visiting this wonderful part of the UK - a revelation to us. Val and Brian more

From the moment I arrived I was made to feel so welcome and the offer of a hot drink after a long journey was a bonus. Coffee and the most... more

Immaculate, very comfortable room with everything thought of, down to chocolates on the pillows. Double shower cubicle with very powerful shower. Fantastic breakfast, freshly cooked to order. All for a bargain price of £28 each!! Close to beautiful empty... more

What did I do to find such brilliant accommodation? From the initial greeting (after a 450 mile journey) a welcome cuppa and home-made cake, to our room (The Croft), things just seemed to get better. An en-suite double - spotless, airy with superb decoration, armchairs, a loaded hospitality tray and lots of room (the chocolate on the pillow was a... more
