Not actually on Lindisfarne (Holy Island), or for that matter in Beal – it’s a mile down the road on the A1 – this motel-style pub is a great place to stay if you are looking to explore the area. The pub is large and friendly with plenty of outdoor space if the weather is good. I found the staff... more

We chose the Lindisfarne Inn in a whime. We had been staying at a local holiday park and loved the Northumberland countryside and coast so much that we decided to stay a few days longer, but in more comfortable surroundings. We found the Inn while having dinner there. The staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful and we were very... more

We decided on a last minute 4 day trip to the Berwick region. Not many places were available and looked online at the Lindisfarne Inn, which also appeared to be fully booked but we decided to phone on the chance of a cancellation etc. Turned out they had a couple of rooms left, so it's always worth phoning. Ideally and... more

Ideal location, on A1 at junction to Holy Island. Just the right venue for touring Northumberland and beyond. Good size 'motel' rooms and bathroom with 'powershower'. Thanks to double glazing, very peaceful (despite room 3 being close to A1). Rooms serviced to perfection daily Contrary to other reviews, found staff friendly and very efficent. Enjoyed all our meals (breakfast, lunch... more

We stayed there at Easter and we found the hosts to be rude, unhelpful and not at all inviting. We tried to eat there on Sunday night at 6.30pm but they were full and then unhelpful about fitting us in. So we found a lovely friendly more loal pub up the road (north) where they were the opposite and it... more

The Lindisfarne Inn & Country Pub is a travel loge style accomodation, the room was clean and functional and had the door fitted properly (room 1), the room would've also been quieter. The adjacent bar and restaurant were extremely convenient and the standard of food served was well above average bar food, the meals were very tasty and reasonably priced.... more

We stayed in Northumberland in November with our 15 month old daughter. We didn't actually stay at The Lindisfarne Inn however ate there for 3 days out of the 4 we were in Northumberland (we hadn't found it on the first day). We had gone to Holy Island to eat and it was shut although we could access the Island... more

Having stayed on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne before, we know it's expensive with not much choice. Whilst the Lindisfarne Inn is not on the island, it's only about a mile from the causeway and what a great little value place it is. The rooms are all new "motel-style" but for £75 per night for two including breakfast, was a... more

We stayed at the Lindisfarne Inn for one night in June '08. Our room was in a newly refurbished annex to the main building. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean - the very good power shower was most welcome! The Inn is right next to the A1, but road noise is not an issue at all. Very convenient, particularly... more

Just returned from a 3 day stay. Comfortable , well appointed bedrooms (in new block). However ,an unwelcoming atmosphere. Food and drink very expensive and not very good. If time and tide allow get yourself over to the Crown and Anchor on the Island. Friendly atmosphere, good food at sensible prices. more
