Set in a quiet street in Berwick close to the city walls, the Queens Head Hotel was a very nice find. I stayed in Berwick on a business trip as it was convenient for Edinburgh the next morning. I Googlked the for hotels and found the Queend Head which looked good on the website and was great value. The reality... More

Having travelled with family from Barry, South Wales and deciding to walk the town walls on a cold, windy day in November, how delightful to find a warm, friendly welcome at the nearby Queens Head Hotel at Sangate with excellent lunchtime fayre. We all opted for the mug of warm soup and sanwiches (we all chose differently and all agreed... More

I chose this hotel from Tripadvisor reviews, and I was not disappointed. I stayed for 2 nights. I was on my own, and had a twin room, so had lots of space. Two very comfortable beds (well, I only tried one), two armchairs, a small desk, large wardrobe, and an LCD TV mounted on the wall. Might have been a... More

Many thanks for your compliments on the duration of your stay with us. Point noted on the stairs, with being a listed building there are complications sometimes & we do have 11 steps in total leading upto all of our rooms on the first floor but this is all assisted with hand railings & the staff are always more than... Room rates - £90 per room per night to end of October then Autumn / Winter £70. Just got back from a 1 night stay. Berwick is a lovely little city and one can walk round the town's walls. The hotel is old (17th Century), when we arrived our first impession was how lovely it looks from outside with lots... More

Hi there, thanks for review & comments. Hanging baskets & window boxes are time consuming but I enjoy making the hotel exterior look inviting & welcoming to any visitors. Parking is seldom a problem as there is reasonably priced pay & displays surrounding the hotel, unfortunately we do not have our own private parking so daily charges are incurred on... More

Recently returned from a 3 night stay at the Queen's Head hotel. The stay could not have been bettered in any way. My room was compact but I certainly did not find it any smaller than other similarly sized hotels I have visited. The complimentary fruit/sweets were a nice touch. Beds were comfy all facilities were provided. I found the... More

I stay at this hotel frequently for business but always look forward to it. I am always welcomed and made to feel at home. The rooms are cosy clean with complimentary magazines, fruit chocolate and water a very nice touch that you don't see very often. The food is always amazing starting with home made bread then a choice of... More

We stayed here for one night and thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal in the charming restaurant but we wouldn't stay in the hotel again due to the small size of the room and creaky bed. On the positive side the staff are very friendly and extremely helpful and the rooms are well equipped but they are just too small to... More
