Stayed here for 3 nights in early May. The hosts, Maggie and John, are very friendly and full of local information. They can loan maps and books about the area if required. The room was large with a smallish ensuite bathroom. Coffee making facilities are provided in the room. There is a TV lounge for guests. Parking is in a lay-by across the street - with space for two cars (one per room). The breakfasts are amazing. All local produce and a huge selection. Every morning there is a buffet with cereal, cheese, fruit, yoghurt, etc. Also, each night they ask for your cooked breakfast order - you can choose from full english, smoked salmon and eggs, kippers, mushrooms or tomato on toast or eggs on toast. All local produce and amazingly fresh. The best breakfast we have ever found in a B&B. Would definitely stay here again - Rothbury is in a good location for the national park and the coast. more
