We stayed at Eshott for 2 very stormy and cold nights, the welcome was warm, the food fantastic, the beds luxurious and the local information supplied by our attentive hosts was well recieved. Fabulous beaches, pub lunch and the most amazing book shop we have ever seen! red squirrels in the pine trees at breakfast, afternoon tea in front of... more

We stayed for one week in a holiday cottage attached to the hotel. It was wonderfully equipped, with the best knives (sabatier) I have ever met in a holiday rental. The beds were big and comfortable, the bath towels as large as I like them - i.e. very big. The cottage was always warm to come back to and the... more

Having stumbled upon Eshott Hall on the web whilst looking for somewhere to stay for a 'get away from it all' break, I cannot do justice in words to how wonderful the stay was. The reception area, lounge and library, take your breath away and serve as a taster for what is to come The bedroom, overlooking the Victorian garden... more

Spent a wonderful night breaking a journey back from Scotland. Bedroom , bathroom both super large and very comfortable. Dinner was super and beautifully presented with good selection of wines available at reasonable prices. Would definitely return and use this as a location for discovering the north east beaches and castles. more

We really had a most memorable stay here. Due to a late flight we arrived late at night and found the most scrumptious platter of local cheeses and good claret ready for us. The hosts were so kind to us, that we felt more like friends than guests. The rooms are clean, spacious and very quiet, great matresses and luxurious... more

Brother and sister in law arranged a weekend break with my wife and I at Eshott Hall. When we arrived we were met by the lady of the house who gave us a warm welcome to her home. Our room with en-suite bathroom was tastefully decorated and immaculately clean, overlooking a walled garden which provided fresh produce for the kitchen.... more

From the moment we drove through the iron gates and into the tree lined drive leading to the impressively restored Eshott Hall we knew that we were about to experience something very special. Welcomed by the owners Ho & Margeret we were shown to our spacious and lovely furnished room overlooking the walled garden where the red squirrels are frequently... more

This beautiful Georgian House has been refurbished with the comfort of a splendid home. Rooms and beds are both comfortable and the lack of keys to rooms makes you feel more at ease than it would if you were having to lock the door behind you every time. Breakfast and dinner are round a large table so there is plenty... more

My girlfriend and I had arranged to spend a romantic night away for her birthday and after a quick Google I stumbled across Eshott Hall. In retrospect I could not have chosen a more perfect place or had a more enjoyable evening had I scoured the internet for days on end. The service, the surroundings, the rooms and especially the... more
