Having returned from a weekend break 11-13 December from Otterburn Hall i can only disagree with some of the comments. We had a lovely stay the staff were always pleasant and helpful. We were upgraded for my 40th birthday to a fantastic room Thank you. The rooms were beautifully decorated, plenty of hot water. We rang up before booking to... more

We first visited the hotel for an overnight stay in June. The room was fine but the meal was atrocious. We were presented with burned vegetables, fatty, tough lamb and uninspiring puddings. The waitress was apologetic but as there was no manager on duty that evening, she recommended mentioning it when we checked out. Malcolm Linforth Jones, Group Hotel Manager,... more

Every year we go for a Christmas night away with a group of friends. Unfortunately, many months ago, I booked four double rooms at Otterburn Hall for a meal in the restaurant and a night in the hotel. Just like Fawlty Towers. What a mistake. The Hall has recently been refurbished, but obviously on a rather limited budget. The first... more

I just read some of the negative reviews on this hotel and I think all has been said already. THE WEDDING I was most interested to read about the wedding held in the Marquee as I just attented a wedding there and I have to agree. It was so cold while eating you could see your breath. Little effort had... more

I attended a wedding at this hotel only to find that the Marquee was like a chiller. It was so cold people where abandoning the wedding to go back to their rooms which was a terrible thing for the couple to witness. They charged for heating but didn't exactly provide much of it. There is something sad about watching a... more

Spent two nights here the hotel and grounds were excellent, staff were first rate and any problems were sorted out very quickly. Bedroom and bathroom were very clean and the flat screen tv impressed. Great location for exploring Northumberland national park and Scottish borders, highly recommended and I would recommend highly. more

We would like to pass on our personal thanks to the General Manager, Henk De Vries and his staff for their hospitality and excellent service during our stay. My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights as part of the '3 nights for 2' deal. The management and staff could not possibly have gone to more trouble... more
