We stayed at The Ship in Seahouses and thoroughly enjoyed it. Seahouses is a lovely part of the world and the location of the hotel was perfect. The bar is fantastic, but be warned - it does get busy. The best feature is probably the beer garden overlooking the harbour but obviously, unless you're of a very hardy disposition, this... more

We had a pleasant stay at The Olde Ship. The food was OK and the staff were superb, being very helpful and courteous. The hotel was beatifully maintained and our room was serviced daily. We were surprised that our towels could have been changed on a daily basis. On a two or three day visit to any hotel we would... more

Great Views, good value, 3 nights for the price of 2. Very small room but with everything you need, and very clean. Excellent staff and very helpful, nothing to much trouble. Very good home prepared and cooked food (try the crab). One of the best pubs I have stayed in, it is a pub and not to be confused with... more

A two night stay. The hotel is a quaint old bar with a collection of rooms straggling upstairs. The Bar is great, atmospheric and interesting, and the hotel is located bang in the middle of Seahouses and next to the harbour. We stayed in probably the smallest and cheapest room (booked at the last minute) which had two hard single... more

At £116 per couple per night, you would expect a lot more for your money. This is a seriously overpriced hotel who even charge you for your morning newspaper! The bed was too soft, we couldn't get the digital box to work on the TV, bathroom toiletries very basic and the noise from the pub below could be heard well... more

I chose tostay in this hotel with my mother and 3 sisters after visiting the pub on a previous visit to Northumberland. Three of us stayed in the Bungalow and two in the hotel. The hotel is ideally suited for touring the Northumberland Coast. It has fantastic views over the harbour to the Farne Islands. The staff are very friendly.... more

The Olde Ship Inn is really something worth seeing. We stayed one night, dinner, B+B, on a bit of a city-escape. Seahouses has a lovely harbour and is close to some of the most spectacular bits of Northumberland. The bar is a lively place with a huge amount of seafaring memorabilia everywhere. The food is pretty standard stuff - no... more

We went to this hotel for a meal when we stayed at Beadnell Bay - it was a 20 minute walk from Beadnell but we are glad that we did. The meal was excellent and the service was really frinendly. Great value for money. It had a superb beer garden with a gate - so that the children could not... more

Recent reviews seem overly harsh based on our experience although we did not eat in restaurant except for breakfast, which was excellent. We had a bar meal which was the good side of adequate if uninspired. Everywhere was very clean even with memorabilia clutter. We stayed in harbour view annex which we liked hugely. All staff very friendly and location... more
