We stayed at this hotel in July 2009. Excellent little place for short break. Excellent location overlooking the sea and beach .Lovely rooms and reeally friendly owners who are more than happy to offer their advice on places to visit. Really fab breakfast - lots of variety and really good value for money. We would stay here again if we... more

I only booked St Aidan Hotel the day before my friend and I arrived from London for a 2 day stay and we were very pleasantly surprised. We had a twin room, the Scottish room, which had fabulous views out to sea and both Bamburgh and Lindisfarne. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, although the louvre door to the... more

We booked a double room a few hours before we arrived, arriving fairly late in the evening. The owner was helpful and simply asked that we call when close to let him know when we expected to arrive and he would ensure he would still be in reception. The location is superb, seafront and a very short walk from the... more

Booked this hotel based on the positive reviews on this site, but I really do wonder if any of the reviewers stayed in the same hotel we did!!! Booking over the phone was a bit of a mission with no online booking. On arrival soon discovered the 'flavour of the orient' deluxe room at £90 per night is in fact... more

Management response from

we are sad they did not enjoy their stay however everyone is asked if everything is ok on departure by john and if nothing is said we cannot address the situation. also i find it strange it has taken three months to make this statement. As for breakfast not being acceptable going by 90% of our guest book comments and...

Have just returned from a weeks stay at the St Aidan Hotel. What can I say, each of the individually styled rooms was lovely, well equipped and attractively decorated, our room reflecting India had views along the coast to Lindisfarne and Bamburgh Castle. Each morning breakfast was a real treat, an enormous variety of fresh fruit with cerals, yoghurts, croissants,... more

St Aidans Hotel is situated in a wonderful position on the seafront just a few hundred yards from the town centre. There is a road running in front of the property which is relatively quiet, beyond the road is the North Sea. All the hotel rooms have magnificent views, and each room comes with a pair of binoculars so the... more

This is a super little hotel right on the seafront at Seahouses. We had an excellent and comfortable stay here. Our room was nicely decorated and well furnished, and it was the little touches that made this place special - the binoculars in each room so you could look out to the Farne Islands, and the honesty bar where you... more

We have just come back from a 3 night stay at the St Aidan Hotel. Service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Restaurant/Bar food was outstanding and reasonably priced. Very comfy bed, with fantastic sea views of the coast and beach. Hotel is very clean, decor is slightly dated but the bar and restaurant areas are superb. Would... more
