Everything about the Pheasant Inn is splendid. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. The pub has all you'd want of a traditional inn...great beer , fine malt whiskys and the wine we had was the house selected which was excellent. Not your average pub lodging. Most of the rooms are in a purpose-built two-storey block to the side of the pub, so there's no noise from drinkers (not that it's a big drinkers' pub in any case). Love it here. Warm welcome, log fires, food is excellent, but nothing too fancy (and that's a compliment by the way).
