Stayed with some friends at the Pheasant for one night - wish it had been two! A gorgeous little place, immaculate and cosy bedrooms, wonderful beds and the best stocked tea tray I have ever seen !! Dinner was lovely, in a warm and friendly setting in the beautiful bar area. I was wishing we weren't going out to the... More

We stopped for lunch and really enjoyed it. The menu was extensive and varied. We both had meals that included salads and it was these that stole the show. They were packed full of fruit and veg, I have only ever had salads with more in at home, no limp lettuce and soggy tomatoes or peppers here. I am sure... More

We visited recently for a family birthday. This was one of the best birthdays we have had. The staff were so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, and the food produced was second to none. We had family from all over the country, aged from 2 years to 90 years old. This is one of the best Pubs... More

The position is beautiful, room was lovely and comfortable, a truly warm welcome and great help from proprietor Robin, outstanding breakfasts and great food overall made it a memorable stay indeed. We highly recommend it to anybody and particularly for those who appreciate real hospitality. We will return. More

We spent a lovely two night stay here, last weekend and it really is a jewel in the Northumbrian Landscape. The Pheasant Inn was recommended by Kielder Sports, to whom I was an invited guest of, and I have to say they were right. This is a truely very comfortable, warm, friendly Inn, that has really nice traditional features in... More

The Pheasant is a glorious destination after making our way through seemingly empty scenery. Suddenly you come across this perfeclty placed inn set in surrouindings that can make even a good mood better. The rooms are large and welcoming; the pub feels just as it should and has a range of good beers. Dinner was meticulously prepared from great ingredients... More

Serves very good food and beer!! It's a traditional country pub serving food, very busy during summer months, but well worth a visit. I have been calling in whenever I am in the area (lamb and gamon excellent!!) More

Stayed for 2nights b&b early Sep as we were taking part in the Kielder 100 mtn bike race. Very welcoming staff on arrival, room was well up to scratch and the shower was roasting hot. The food was excellent, as was the real ale. Nothing was too much trouble, would stay again if up that neck of the woods. A... More
