Wonderful cottages which can be booked either on a timeshare basis or through English country cottage websites or brochures. They were old farm buildings which have recently been redocorated to a very high standard. Ours had two bedrooms, large lounge, kitchen and bathroom. Leisure facilites had a very clean pool of good length (used it every morning) sauna and a gym. There was also a snooker table, table tennis, lending library and DVD's. Cottages right on the edge of National Park so plenty of walks without having to travel too far. Also enjoyed trips to Berwick on Tweed and Lindisfarne (watch the tides). Others staying there were having trips to Edinburgh and into the Scottish borders.
Good restaurant on site with extremely friendly owners. We have been to many timeshare places but felt this was definitely one of the best as everything clean and tidy and staff so friendly and helpful. Perhaps it helped that we visited outwith school holidays which meant it... more
