We stayed only for one night but it was a most pleasant stay. The bed was comfy and the service very good. We found out that the managers had only been in situ for 2 weeks but you couldn't tell. the room was pokey and dirty. the toilet didn't flush, there was no free rooms, no chance of changing rooms. plug missing from sink, so either very hot water or very cold water, thank god is wasn't mid winter!! We lived in the town for a little while and fell in love with the pub and it eventually became our local. Really lovely food, lovely friendly welcome and a lovely open fire during the winter.
