Arrived at 3p.m,on a cold day, was assigned a very cold bedroom(No 22).Told that the Hotel's central heating came on at 4.30p.m & went off at 10.30p.m.It would then come on again at 05.30am. & go off again during the morning! Spent last weekend at this hotel and had a lovely time. Staff were very friendly and evening meal was delicious. Breakfast also very good - excellent bacon and sausage! Bedroom was good and the sitting room was a lovely area to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. If only all weekends could be as nice! more

Poor reviews by previous guests gave us some cause for anxiety prior to arrival,but after a 3 day stay we had nothing but praise for the hotel. Large comfortable room. Public rooms spacious and well furnished. Attentive,friendly and efficient staff,tho the boss was rather po-faced. Food and wine very good quality. No hesitation in recommending the hotel whole-heartedly. more

The superior room that we had seen on their web site, plush and clean looking and £140.00 DBB, was available so naturally we snapped it up.
