We found this hotel through Alistair Sawday's books, but unfortunately it doesn't come up to the mark we've experienced with his other recommendations. The rooms are a let down. We were given room 11, which is upstairs overlooking the rear carpark. Found this through Alistair Sawday and it does not match up to the usual standards of his properties. If you want a fantastic meal with somewhere to kip afterwards, it's great, but do not have too high expectations as it will not match up to them. This is trying to be a boutique hotel, but not really doing it right.... more
