I wish I had taken note of the negatives listed by others. The place was tired and broken, the bed was so worn that we asked to move to another room. visited over bank holiday weekend Friday night with friends . we had good food steak was cooked brilliant others had tuna which was nice just a little to much sauce which spoilt the presentation however we could not fault the service as all staff was pleasant and could not do enough for us would go again .

Lots of lovely places to visit,eat,and stay in the lovely hamlet of Much Wenlock. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM !!!!!! Find somewhere else to stay and eat. Owners extremely rude vile people with no class. Don't spoil what could be a nice visit to this famous little town ! Plenty of other places to stay and eat.

Called here by sheer chance for lunch en route Mid Wales to East Staffordshire. What a gem of a pub. My husband and I ate here recently while staying at the local caravan park. The pub is located on the high street and has a comfortable lounge with open fire and a cosy restaurant. Shabby decor, tired decor, dirty everywhere. Very average food. Very dark and dingy pub. May be fine for an older clientele, but not for me. Under staffed on the day we had the dubious experience, needs updating. The pub is covered in dust on pictures on the wall and the upholstery looks disgusting. The landlord is a very rude man.
