I like this hotel, not too sure why? The rooms are a bit tired and overall it is a bit rough at the edges, however the staff are very friendly and it is in a good location to go into Oswestry town for dinner and drinks. more

Stayed overnight on their mini spa break - upgraded to a suite (the Laura Ashley room), well worth the extra. Lovely big room with comfortable winged chairs, and a big bathroom. Only quibble was the lack of a view, but in winter it doesn't matter, soon had the heavy curtains closed and lamps on. Very cosy. The room was a... more

My husband and I stayed at the Wynnstay from September 4-7 with a group of friends and had a delightful time. While it could use some updating in the main part of the hotel, the coach house (rooms 401-402) in the back is really nice. Breakfast was very good as well as the food and drink in the bar and... more

I stayed a night at this hotel whilst on business. Unfortunately I wasn't overly impressed. The decor of the room was very dated and wasn't really what I'm used to when traveling on business (maybe I've been spoiled). The bed wasn't too comfortable either. However, my overriding memory was how freezing cold the room was. For extra heating the room... more

We were given a room in the Coach House at the back of the hotel. It was really large with an enormous bathroom. We were very impressed for the price we paid (using a hotel booking website). From reading some of the other reviews here I think we were very lucky as maybe some of the rooms in main building... more

A beautiful old but well maintained hotel in a very good location. The cleanliness of the hotel was first class. The decor was warm and cosy. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good but the evening meal was superb. Our room even had it's own balcony, very romantic as we were celebrating our 25th anniversary. The... more

Awful hotel. Rooms inadequately furnished, palmed us off with a disgusting "bin-end" at dinner. Staff not very helpful. Oswestry itself has seen better days. more

I have just returned from an excellent stay at The Wynnstay Hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful especially because I was a female on my own. . The restaurant offers good value for money -Early bird menu £11.50 for 3 courses and it was the best meal I've had in ages, especially as I travel around a lot... more

A standard Best Western style hotel. The room was nice and comfortable, nothing special. It could be so much more, the room was large with high ceilings; just very dated. The bar wasn't keen on serving past 11pm and breakfast was average; however the location, parking and sporting facilities were excellent. more

Very sorry to report a very poor time was had by all. Husband and I stayed one night (had booked two), Booked months ago direct with hotel, and by all (staff) accounts, given the worst room in the hotel (216)! Above the walk-in fridges!! Buzzing all night - was like trying to sleep above the engine room of a cross... more
