Comfortable room. Friendly staff and great food. Close to the town centre and all facilities. Free and convenient parking within the hotel grounds. Only drawback was the second floor room with two steep flights of stairs. When booking we were advised that this was the only room available but confusingly the person we booked with assured us that all the rooms are classed as first floor. However, OK for one night and didn't distract too much from a great stay.

food is good limited selection for glutton free & vegetarians card only so be aware no cash taken decor nice but lacks atmosphere once your seated the staff are not as attentive as they could be. The area we sat in was clean & warm.Would return but would like to see an improved menu with more selection for people with allergies.

We stayed at the hotel for a 60th celebration. The manager that evening could not have done more to help and constantly checked we were all ok. Kept our glasses full. The do was in the Wilsons room which was decorated lovely and the perfect place for the party. The hot food and buffet was really tasty and displayed well. The breakfast the following morning was also very good. The staff are extremely welcoming on arrival and want to ensure you have everything you need.

The hotel is comfortable and central to the town, but does not suffer from heavy traffic noise. The food is good and the staff are exemplary. Because of its listed status, there is no lift, so would not be suited to anyone who cannot negotiate stairs, otherwise the accommodation is first class.

Traditional old hotel in the centre of Oswestry. Good points are: town centre location, big car park, beautifully decorated rooms, excellent public rooms/bar/coffee shop/breakfast room, very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast choice. We were super pleased with our stay here - highly recommended. I can't think of any bad points! The hotel is a bit of a rabbit warren of narrow corridors and the loos for the bar were up a steep flight of stairs so maybe less-abled guests would struggle a bit but no problems for us.

We had a wonderful stay, the staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is ideally located for a very short walk into the town Centre; it is stylishly decorated, the food is excellent and served up in beautiful, comfortable surroundings. The only negative thing I have to say is there is no lift but, given the age of the building, that is quite understandable. Otherwise, I could not fault it. I have recommended it to family and friends and my husband and I are looking forward to returning very soon.

Stayed here on way back to Holyhead. A great find, lovely traditional hotel in easy driving distance to ferry, with generous size rooms, great bathrooms, great breakfast menu, a very nice bar and friendly staff. Also secure parking a plus. Would love to spend more time here on a future trip, the town of Oswestry is very pretty and surrounded by lovely countryside

Hotel seems to be the only one in the town, hotel down stairs is very modern and restaurant is very good with good service. However rooms still a little dated, corridors reminded me of an old.persons rest home, the heat is ridiculously warm and stuffy, which leads into the rooms, the rooms !! don't get a room over the kitchen the industrial extractor fans are literally a few meters from your window, switched off around 9.30pm and back on 6.40am, asked to move rooms in the morning after being woken up. Would suggest a sorry for the inconvenience, but no, we were moved and the receptionist did offer to help move our luggage which was very kind and she did help sort the move. The stairs are also very steep in places, no lift, just bring a rope and some mountaineering gear if you are on the top floors.…

We returned to the Wynnstay for the first tie since the change of ownership and corresponding refit. It is really lovely; it's clear a lot of money has been spent and it looks gorgeous. However its not just the décor; the service was impeccable. really attentive without being irritating. The food was delicious and they went the extra mile to accommodate us and our dog with the provision of an extra sausage at breakfast. Its the small things that make all the difference. The room was lovely, nicely decorated and a very smart shower room and good quality products. We would definately recommend to others and will revisit for a treat again I am sure.
