Stayed in the tack room which was a good size and had a lovely bathroom. Breakfast was delicious also. Despite the rainy weather, had a really great time here. More

Spent two nights here to visit the Christmas Market in Bath. Very much enjoyed our stay. Room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. Staff went out of their way to make our stay very pleasant, even gave us bread to feed their sheep. More

We found the Place To Stay very easy to locate (unlike another comment I read). The location is truly lovely, with views over the gently rolling landscape belonging to Lord Bath. Very tranquil. The staff were polite and informative, and you were left to your own devices. Breakfast was great, good choice, fresh, efficient, served in a pleasant conservatory building.... More

Great breakfast, pretty setting, friendly, room OK but not super-luxury. No problems with cleanliness unlike some others who have reported... and lovely pub down the road for dinner. For the price in this location/area, reasonable value. More

Expected 5 star but unfortunately the hotel only met this in the price. Stayed in the family room, conservatory was covered in dead flies, cobwebs and had not been dusted for a while, old chips were found down the side of the sofa, the carpet in the childrens room was patched and unfitted. Our room whilst pleasant with great en-suite... More

My friend and I were completing a 7 day journey of the South West and South East England and our final stop off was The Place To Stay. Having read the Daily Telegraphs review of this BnB i eagerly booked. However, I was bitterly disappointed with the stay. Maybe this was due to the amazing previous locations we had stayed... More

Stayed in the barn ! Expected luxury , didn't get it !! No fridge, dodgy electrics, no stool to sit on to dry your hair and after pulling out sofa to find filth and dead insects very sickening! The worst was waiter at breakfast looked like he had been dragged through a hedge, with clothes not being ironed and smelt... More

My wife and I stayed at The Place to Stay for the first two nights of our honeymoon. We were very happy and impressed with our room (called The Byre). The room was beautifully furnished with a modern four poster bed, sofa and television. The bathroom had a shower cubicle as well as a bath. The hotel has been converted... More

this was a romantic trip to incorporate longleat park over two days.to me this is not a five star stay. we stayed in the barn which was supposed to be luxury for two, but they had pushed a single bed in aswell for some reason. if it was to accommodate a previous guest them they should have removed it for...
