You could'nt get any better if you had stayed at a 5star Hotel. From arrival to departure everything was excellent. More

We stayed at The Cottage for two nights at the start and end of a cycling holiday this August. We had a double room at the front of the cottage with an ensuite shower room. The shower was very powerful! A nice selection at breakfast, the fresh fruit salad was delicious! The last night we did experience some noise from... More

We stayed for 3 nights at this lovely and friendly B&B. Angela & Paul were very nice and welcoming hosts. The rooms were very nice and clean and spacious. Very calm little neighbourhood. We occupied 2 db rooms ensuite. Try to avoid the room where the shower is all transparent in the room - no privacy while showering.. The breakfast... More

The b and b was excellent value for money and was set in an ideal location. The range of food for the breakfast was ideal and cooked to perfection. The hosts, Angela and John were very knowledgeable, kind and caring. We found the information given about local amenities very helpful and found some wonderful walks and scenery. Although the roads... More

Beautiful character cottage in the centre of the village. Our room was large, clean and very comfortable and stylish. Angela and John were charming hosts and made us feel very welcome in their home. Excellent selection for breakfast which set us up for the day. There are numerous restaurants/pubs in the village to cover all budgets. Pretty village in a... More

We just had the best weekend walking the SW coastal path, made even more perfect by comfortable accommodation & attentive hosts at the Cottage, Porlock. The B&B is central in the village, with shop, bank, & pubs within 1 min. The rooms are tastefully furnished, bathrooms clean with shower more powerful than at home, and breakfasts second to none. John... More

Stayed for one night, this was the last night of a week of travelling around Wales and Somerset. It was the best B & B that we stayed in. The Cottage is a lovely house and John and Angela are wonderful hosts. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in this area and can't wait to go back... More

As a quiet retreat The Cottage was a great discovery. Our room was large, quiet and very comfortable; the sitting room downstairs was an added bonus and breakfast in the morning was ample and delicious. I shall certainly return as soon as possible and stay longer! The location is perfect for exploring Exmoor. More

The Cottage is right in the centre of the village and next to the local garage so easy to find, parking spaces too (necessity here I think). Angela and John are very welcoming and they pay good attention to detail, helping with local knowledge and especially at breakfast. The spacious breakfast room (The Cottage feel spacious throughout) is calming and... More

We stayed in this wonderful b&b for our first wedding anniversary last September. The room was beautifully decorated and to my delight the wardrobe was well equipped with plenty of "proper coathangers"! The first thing our hosts did was put our bottle of champagne in their fridge for our anniversary. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfasts were out... More
