I booked a night here for last weekend having read reviews here and deciding against the Alton Bridge Hotel. To be honest, I wish I had stayed anywhere else!

The hotel is only a couple of minutes from Alton Towers main entrance and we took a taxi up in the morning and walked back although I wouldn't recommend this if you have kids with you as there is no foot path.

When we came back from our fun day out we discovered the chef had gone off sick and they only had bar food. We didn't mind as the staff were apologetic and did everything they could to make us feel comfortable and looked after, the bar food turned...
