I stayed here for one night last month, working in the area. I would sum up the acommodation here with the words "clean and adequate". However, it's no more than that. On arrival at the front door, opened by the landlady, I was being directed to the side entrance - the landlady simply crossed the hall inside to let me in, - guests are not allowed to use the main door. A minor point, but it made me think of the tradesman's entrance! The welcome was polite, but I couldn't say warm or welcoming. Again that word - "adequate".
The room was of reasonable size, though rather bland. Unlike the best B&Bs, there were no extra touches or niceties. The bathroom contained bottled soap, and dry towels, but no shampoo for example. The shower worked. My biggest gripe was the TV. The aerial was poor, it was dificult to get a decent picture on the only 4 terrestrial channels available.
The location is on a busy main road, there's nothing much of interest... more
