A lovely hotel, i stayed on business, however would recommend for pleasure also. Very friendly and couldn't do enough to provide excellent service. Particuarly worth a mention is their flexibility - you can have a meal from any menu and eat anywhere. Larger hotels need to take note! more

I have stayed at this hotel before when it was part of the Swallow group. It has now been taken over by Brooks and has definitely improved. It is still the chintzy decor, shabby in places but much cleaner. Overall better run with comfortable rooms and decent enough breakfast. Rooms on Kingston hill can be noisy when the early morning... more

hotel was in good location and the rooms where pleasant enough. the down fall is the resturant service and bar service. no one seems to man the bar and as for breakfast you will be lucky if you get one. just like faulty towers no tables cleared no hot breakfast prepared everything hap hazard . no one takes responsibility and... more

I've stayed here a couple of times now on business and the Kingston Lodge has always been reasonably good. It's got everything you need for a few nights away with work or on a leisure break, as there are plenty of attractions nearby and is conveniently situated for Kingston, Richmond, Hampton Park, Teddington areas. Plenty of parking, a cosy bar,... more

Not impressed. Only stayed one night- thank goodness, as the room was stuffy, there was a constant noise from outside which sounded like some sort of electric motor, and coulld clearly hear othe rguests using the foot well which was next to my room. Should have complained. The breakfast was poor in quality and quite possibly not cooked properly- which... more

The hotel had the charm of an English Country Inn yet its on the fringe of London. The major thought we took away with us from our 2-night stay was the friendly staff - always smiling. Apparently the general manager has only been there a couple of months as has clearly chosen some good new staff. The room was adequate... more

We stayed for one night while attending an event in the hotel. The staff were helpful and the room fine. It's not perfect (worn carpet, dirty iron and ironing board, etc.) but the minor problems didn't distract from an enjoyable stay. The best feature was that our room was a good size, and above our expectations (like a lot of... more

As we were attending Rugby at Twickenham we decided at the last minute to find accomodation for the Friday & Saturday nights. The choice was quite limited and we thought the Kingston Lodge looked okay and would be a good base. On arriving we were pleasantly surprised, it was especially welcoming with open fires and festive decorations. We found that... more

I often work in Kingston-upon-Thames and over the years have stayed in most of the local hotels (of which there are surprisingly few). Of all I'd say that The Kingston Lodge is my favourite! Alternative places to stay include very average B&Bs, a Travel Lodge, The Antoinette Hotel and a few 'gastro pubs' which are a litttle small and quite... more
