Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Consistently welcoming and professional service throughout which gives a feel of a home from home. The bar is a relaxing place to work, chill with a crossword or catch up with friends. Always look forward to visiting. Thank you to the lovely staff.

Hotel's Favourite
I stayed here for 3.5 weeks while work was being done on my home and if you are living in a hotel you want it to be a good stay. This did not disappoint. The staff were incredible and made my stay really great making sure I had everything I need. I’m light of my long stay they made sure I had a quiet end room, a fridge and loads of hangers. If I needed anything and asked it was sorted quickly. I know a lot of the reviews mention the state of the hotel and yes it does need a refresh which is being done and will take time. But considering the room was a little tired it was spotlessly clean! It’s easy for an older room to look/feel dirty but it was still a lovely room and a great size. I was WFH (working from hotel) and the free internet was brilliant. Good enough for all my work meetings and streaming tv. The restaurant area has been done up and looks and feels great. The breakfast was exactly what you expect from this type of hotel but with more selection than you get at some. The daytime menus and all day room service options are great with a range of comfort and healthy options. The gym is small but was never packed so it was good. And the pool and jacuzzi were good. The pool is a funny shape but if you ask they can section off the longest straightest bit for lengths. Overall a fab stay and the staff were really mu stand out and the reason I ven though it’s not a 5* hotel, it gets 5* from me!

The staff at the restaurant, particularly Bart, John, and Ian are wonderful, professional and accommodating. They are proactive at solving any issues that might come up. We have business meetings here, and the team and set-up make it ideal. There is free parking for three hours.

Great hotel. Family of 12 and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Ample areas to sit in the evening and enjoy. Breakfast is good variety. Waiters go above and beyond and always around to help. Swimming pool is great and added touch. Local to shops etc and train station.

On check in, recognised as a IHG member and friendly staff member. Booked an Exec corner suite and were allocated room 418. Loads of room, large bedroom, lounge and lovely updated bathroom with hydro bath. All clean and comfortable bed. For what we paid on a Sunday night it was great value. Dinner was the only let down. We went down quite late ( 8.45pm) and most of the restaurant was shut off so had to eat in the bar. Waited half an hour for basic food . Staff didn't really seem interested. Hence 1 mark deducted. Next morning we used the swimming pool, steam room and jacuzzi . All good. We were able to have a relaxed morning as, unusually, check out is not till 12 noon. An added bonus. We will be back.

I am a Platinum Elite IHG member. I have stayed with IHG in numerous Intercontinentals, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn venues. This place was filthy. For value for money it is a great brand, but sometimes with IHG you find a gem, other times you find a mouldy rotten apple. See photo from male reception toilet. Place was generalky a dump. 1 lift out of service so only 1 working lift. I was in an executive room. Allegedly. Scratch marks on headboard. Insufficient lighting. Colder than a penguins willy. Carpet from the Bog of Eternal Stench. Never again.

Hotel room was OK but breakfast which was paid for in advance was really poor. Cold, dry and very unpleasent. if I was paying at the time of eating I would have refused to pay. It's as if they have your money so they don't care how bad it is. Will take breakfast out next time I visit a Holiday Inn or will go for Premier Inn.

I was looking for a Hotel close to Wimbledon, and the Sutton Holiday Inn was an ideal choice, less than 10 mins walk from Sutton station. Check in was quick and easy, looks like some refesh work has been going on in the lobby and bar area. My room was on the 4th floor which overlooked the main road, i was worried about traffic noise but could hear anything. The room looked a little dated but was very clean dn well kept maybe this floor hasnt been refreshed yet! I used the bar for some food, on the night i was staying a large function was taking place so i had to dine in the bar area which was a little cramped, the food offer has something for every one. Food service was quick and the quality was ok. My sleep was good and i was surprised how quiet it was. Breakfast was good, alot of choice and good quality food, i enjoyed my stay and would choice this Hotel if in South London again, as its good value for money.

Only went to visit the spa and use the facilities for the day. Some of the building is a little dated but very reasonably priced for use of the pool, gym, changing area, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room.

Went up for a 90th Birthday weekend Day 1 - Evening meal Slow service, items were served staggered. I only had my lasagne without having my sides of skin on fries and onion rings. I had to start eating my lasagne. 10 minutes later, my sides arrived. Some parts of my lasagne pasta sheets were hard suggesting that it isn’t fresh but instead ordered in bulk and refrigerated. Some members had gammon but weren’t offered a steak knife by staff. Slow to clear the tables and would forgot to come and collect all plates. Some members wanted ice cream, unbelievably, this took 45 minutes or so to arrive just for a simple dessert Day 2 - Breakfast I had a cooked breakfast which wasn’t up to standard. My two sausage, beans and mushrooms were all cold Day 2 - Evening Meal Just like Day 1, service was slow and very staggered. One table wanted there starters to be served with the mains but never did, the starters came before the mains instead of together. A dish stated as “giant prawns” weren’t giant. A dish was served with just salmon but also ordered a side of salad. My lasagne pasta sheet had hard parts again. Some members ordered gammon and yet again, no steak knife was offered. Fried eggs on a gammon dish that were ordered soft arrived hard as rubber. Knowing the experience and time from Day 1 evening meal, we didn’t order desserts
