I stayed with my 12 yr old daughter, had a lovely big room, everything you needed. Duncan the owner is brilliant, so friendly, and welcoming. Breakfast was fab.. Athol house was a wonderful peaceful place away from the crowd and nicely connected. The proprietor understands the needs of students and very helpful. An excellent breakfast starts off the day nicely. Had a very good stay of approx 10 days at Athol house I recommend it to all travelling to Southshields for exams or for work
