We just had an overnight stay while we visited friends in the area. We were lucky enough to have discovered the Howard arms a few years ago but had never stayed there , what a treat!. The room , the study, was a beautifully decorated large room with an en suite bathroom complete with separate shower and roll top bath.... More

The Howard arms was the first hotel we stayed at for our 25th wedding anniversary holiday, it was a wonderful start, comfortable, spacious room with a fabulously comfortable bed, Helpful staff, great bar and delicious food all in a location that was central to the Cotswolds and attractions but very peaceful and quiet

I can't think of a better country inn anywhere in England. We spent two nights in the Village room, which overlooks Lower Green. It is tasteful and spacious, with a comfortable sofa and armchair. In many more cramped hotel rooms, the bed dominates the room, making it impossible to truly relax, but that is not the case here. The first... More

We spent a long weekend at the Howard Arms which is in the charming village of Ilmington (well worth exploring the little lanes and pathways throughout the village). We stayed in the Garden room which is a very nice, large room on the ground floor. We were concerned when we read a previous review about the lack of hot water... More

We have just returned from our sixth stay at this wonderful, relaxing, peaceful inn. Definitely recommended. The service and welcome by all staff (especially Eve) is always unquestionable and warm. We cannot think of an nicer place to sit by the open fire or in the sunny garden to chat over a pint of Old Hookey before a guaranteed deep... More

Our children recommended this place and bought us a night's accommodation plus meals as an anniversary present. We were not disappointed. Food was excellent especially the breakfast and the staff were very friendly and efficient.

We had booked in at Folly Farm Cottage B&B and Were told that there were two pubs in the village that both did good meals. We went to the Howard Arms on the Friday evening as it was the closest. The food was lovely and the wine list was good and not too expensive. The fruits of the earth starter... More

So we decided to have a change when booking our annual anniversary trip this year. We usually visit the Cranleigh in the Lakes (look it up, it’s beautiful) but decided to explore the picturesque Cotswolds instead. We decided on The Howard Arms as it ticked all the right boxes. Its nestled in the centre of a sleepy Cotswold village with... More

Used to be regulars at the Howard Arms some 5 years ago but moved out of the area, We have now returned to the Cotswolds so decided to visit on Saturday lunch-time. The ambience has changed little, it's still wonderful. The service and welcome was "spot - on" and the food delicious. My wife and I had Fisherman's Pie (the... More

My husband and I chose the Howard Arms as the reception venue for our wedding. We have ben to the pub several times and the food is always first class.
