We had this hotel sold to us as a great venue for a couple to enjoy a round of golf and some fine dining. On our arrival found it to be full of lads societies probably more interested in the over priced beer than the golf or the food. We were given a very limited menu on a piece of... more

I feel that people who have given negative reviews of this hotel must have stayed somewhere different to us. We paid for 20 lads to have a budget golf break but what we got was well above our expectations. Not one person in our group had a complaint about anything. The staff where more than friendly and seemed to go... more

We have just come back from a one night golf break at the Draycote Hotel. Having read some of the previous reviews from a year ago we were wondering what to expect. We need not have worried. There were only six guests in the hotel, that included us, my wife, our adult son and me. The rooms were a good... more

3 golfers chose to go on a golf break on the 6th of dec '08 mad you might think so did we after reading some reviews on this hotel i had reservations about staying here but found all the negative reviews to be totally unfounded. The hotel was very clean even though we had basic twin rooms they were well... more

Do not expect the 'fluffy' treatments as this hotel is geared towards functions and business cliental such as myself. This place has really taken shape the last months. It has definately been through a turbulant transition period reading these reviews and from previous experience. I use the hotel quite frequently on business because of its cleanliness, friendliness of staff and... more

If you like stagnant beer or maybe some beer that had clearly been contaminated with some kind of chemical then this is the place for you. Throw in the fact that my wife and I both suffered from what appeared to be food poisoning and you're in for a great time. Of course, I must point-out that this could just... more

12 friends were staying at this hotel for a golfing weekend from Friday to Sunday. The Hotel is clean and tidy and the staff are very helpful. On the Friday the 3 course evening meal was excellent. Sadly the Power failed in the region at 7.00am Saturday morning and did not return until after 7.00pm in the evening. This meant... more

This hotel is stunning. Unfortunately a few years ago it burnt down but has been rebuilt is the same barn conversion style as before, but more modern. I has a large airy feel, and it is very clean. The setting is gorgeous with a large golf course attached. The rooms were not redone as these were not affected by the... more

This hotel has a reasonable golf course but that is about it. The rooms are tired but large, the walls are paper thin, take some ear plugs. The food is expensive but OK if you can get the waiting staff to bring the right food to the right table and on time. We had to complain vigorously but eventually the... more

Cheap and Naff!! There was a VERY noisy wedding that went on until late. Staff did not take much notice of complaints from other residents. Very small cramped bedrooms - poor quality. more
