I highly recommend you stay here - by yourself, with a special other, with the family, the dog ... and you don't even need to like trains. Eccentrically English, romance of the Orient Express, murder mystery of Agatha Christie, gypsy caravanning, ... all of these and more. Staff very friendly, top marks for the Breakfast, accommodation very well appointed, lovely... More

What a special and lovely place to stay, like stepping back in time, served the best tea in the old waiting room while booking in with a bit of cake. The village is just a five minute drive away, lovely sleepy village with nice pubs and restaurants. More

We stayed in the Pullman carriages which were delightful. From the moment of check in until we left the service and friendly staff really added that extra something to our visit. On check in we got a cup of tea and slice of cake in front of the log fire in the station waiting room with a massive christms tree... More

A truly memorable experience and one we cannot wait to repeat. The restored Pullman's are a delight to behold, we stayed in one of the King Pullmans, slightly larger than the standard one but really worth it. The bathrooms are larger, quirky and very well equipped. All, reminiscent of the long forgotten, magic train journeys and something that we have... More

This beautiful Hotel is one of our very favourite places to stay. The delightful Pullman carriages are our choice, Very friendly welcome on arrival, and a very nice cup of tea and slice of cake! We stayed in early December, and it was chilly outside, and we were a little worried about being warm enough in the Pullman carriage. We... More

We stayed in one of the Pullman carriages. The B&B consists of four carriages - each split into two rooms. Our room was beautifully decorated. Very comfortable bed and clean. The shower was excellent. Some minor issues with the toilet. Location was quiet - and good walks nearby. Badgers pub within walking distance. Breakfast was good. Very friendly service. All... More

Not sure it is worth the full price the host is somewhat disinterested in his guests. Two light bulbs were not working. Tissue box in bathroom empty, dusting could be improved. Comfortable bed, good breakfast but have had better. The carriages are beautiful and well fitted out, experience should be amazing. More

Lovely quirky accomodation in a pullman carriage, ideal for my 'train mad' other half on his birthday! The station reception is gorgeous and breakfast on the platform was a wonderful way to start the day. Comfy bed but not the best place to stay on one of the hottest days of the year as the carriage was like an oven.... More
